| Papalaua Falls viewed through the jungle growing on the alluvial dam deposited below the falls. The stream drops down the middle of the valley until it reaches this mound, then does a U-turn to the left and continues downstream until it deposits more alluvium across the mouth of the valley, creating the amphitheater effect.
