Palawan Peacock (Polyplectron emphanum)

Location: Puerto Princessa, Palawan, Philippines

I drew on my knowledge of pheasants from age 7, and talked with the bird, actually drawing it into camera range. We got about 20 minutes with this male, including eight minutes of raw video.
