| Easy weather allows us to follow a course just off shore. Even so, on the light tradewind day, the clouds rest just below the top of the cliffs.
It’s a beautiful moment. The paddling is easy so you can relax and enjoy the view, actually feeling the strong Mana that holds this giant rock together.
Everyone who took the Moloka’i trip claimed they discovered true humility when paddling their small kayak in this huge, powerful sea with these beautiful cliffs as a backdrop. Everybody is bathed in the Energy of the Universe – it doesn’t get more intense than here.
This shot also conveys one of my favorite feelings — finding the perfect synchronization of ocean swells and paddling rhythm. Once in the groove, the Universe takes over, and paddling become effortless, allowing you to feel the coast, the salt spray, curious sea birds, the waters, and the Mana. |
