| Try to end your first day in Hanoi at the Italian ice cream shop across Turtle Lake from the water puppets. Enjoy you chilly, then go to the Water Puppet show. This traditional theater form was originally performed by traveling troupes using rice paddles for their sets. The show is so entertaining it endured three wars and still keeps people entertained in a new millennium. The only thing "touristy" about the traditional and unique art form is the audience. |
