| Jewel of the Bay, Koh Bele’ was our first stop with our first group from Hawai’i back in 1989. We stayed five days because nobody wanted to leave. Once mainstream tourism over-ran Bele’, you can’t see he sand for the Longtails and speedboats, it’s still great if we go after 4PM and leave by 9AM.
We usually go to the "Hong" on the backside of Koh Bele' before the crowds clear off the front beach. In this shot, our kayakers are paddling to the large notch that forms the opening to the lagoon that's about 10 football pitches in size. |
