| This is our second leeward landing. Without Haka'a'ano and the Kainoa's Cove so well protected the trip would have been impossible. On the other side of this point, we were kayaking up mountains. The wave size dropped off after the current compression, but you can see by the white caps that it's still nasty out there.
Even around the protected point, there's white water all the way into the small cove where our kayaks are tied up. From that landing, we walk all supplies across the rocks and hike the cliff to this spot at the top of the trail. |
