| The White Belly Sea Eagle is King of the Bay. Nothing challenges it. White Belly's were on a serious decline when I arrived in South Thailand, but an intense outreach program by our guide staff was an effective awareness campaign, and now poaching is down considerably.
Even so, there are still captive White Bellies — and other wildlife — in many bars and restaurants. Do not patronize any business with captive wildlife, and go out of your way to tell the owners why! |
