| City Councilor Jimmy Carnoneil (left) and Vice Mayor Lucilo “Cecil” Bayron have a good laugh at the Mayor’s advice to newlyweds.
Hagedorn is a national figure, so every evening he’s in town is an official function – visiting senators, speaker of the house, volunteer doctors, study teams and entrepreneurs. Tonight it’s the Mass Wedding – the same day Mayor Ed returned from Princessa’s Manila office where he was embroiled in serious national politics. Eight hours after landing, Mayor Ed married 61 couples.
The Mayor’s machine handles the onslaught brilliantly – different venues every night. This one starts with the evening mass wedding and finishes with an aerobics concert the next morning.
Everything focuses smoothly on a clean and green, drug and crime free Puerto Princessa that’s a better place for everybody. Being “good” is fun.
And it works – really well. |
