Stealth Biter Even in youth, Crocodylus mindorensis shows the natural streamlining that gives crocs the opportunity to approach prey without leaving the slightest ripple. With an additional six extra post occipital scales at the nape, mindorensis is truly “stealth”. Any prey entering this guy’s territory doesn’t even know what happened. (Occipatal is the region at the base of the scull, and the nape is the curve from an animal’s skull to the neck.)
