| Crocodylus porusus
From the vertical view these crocs are even more awesome than their profile, and this bodyweight is a good testimonial for the croc farm’s treatment. The tail can be as dangerous as the mouth, and believe it or not, this fatso can probably outrun you in a straight line.
These crocs are both dangerous and unique. Mindorensis is so rare it’s skin will never be sold, but the “salties” are under economic threat. To this point, no crocodiles are executed to become shoes, belts and handbags, but the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center needs to become economically sustainable or croc skin sales may be the only option to keep it open.
We don’t want any of these cuddly darlings turned into shoes and handbags, so wildlife and environmental funding providers and private parties can contact Dr. Glen Rebong, a DVM and Center Administrator at pwcc@lycos.com
