| Instead of playing cards or sleeping, one of the boatmen on our 1995 exploration kept following us on his own initiative. How refreshing. Cuong, from a generations-old family of Halong boatmen, wanted to see what this crazy kayaking is all about. Ten years on with four months training in Phuket, Cuong is a full-time staff of SeaCanoe Vietnam and our Senior lead guide. Cuong thinks like a Westerner complete with a sense of humor as sharp as his professionalism. |
