Crocodylus mindorensis growing up
Crocodylus mindorensis growing up
Location: Puerto Princessa, Palawan, Philippines
Only four months ago, Glenn could have wrapped his thumb around a young Croc’s neck. It was difficult just grabbing the neck.

This growth is vital if we ever expect to see the Philippines Crocodile back in the wild. Populations under 100 are doomed to extinction without “population” injections. Even at that, the gene pool is so small its questionable how many generations the species might survive anyway.

Thanks to good care and diet, and Dr. Glenn, C. mindorensis at least has a fighting chance.
