| This used to be a shanty town, one of those disheveled and ugly waterfront communities that blight almost every city in the Philippines. Mayor Ed wanted to change that, but with heart. He did knock down the shanty town, and replaced it with this promenade that will eventually be backed by shops and restaurants to provide economic opportunity for the former shanty town residents. |
