The royal barge was built in the Fourth Reign, and remade in the reign of King Vajiravudh, Rama Vl, It is carved, gilded and decorated with mirror, patterned as a seven-headed serpent, surrounded by numerous small serpents. The hull is painted green on the outside and red on the inside. It measures 42.95 metres in length, 2.95 metres in width, 0.76 metres in depth, with a draft of 0.31 metres, and a 3.02 metres power, manned by 54 rowers and two steersmen, with two helmsmen, one flag-bearer, one signalman, and one boat-rowing song singer.
