Mini-Expedition for an excellent week of Thai mountain and sea adventure.
Combine Khao Sok with our 7-Day "Wings of the White Belly Sea Eagle" and
you've got a complete South Thailand expedition traversing one of the
World's most important "land bridges".
Khao Sok is famous for wildlife, but most trekking and longtail boat tours
are happy to see a footprint or "dropping". However, Khao Sok's highland
streams and lake are ideal for wildlife sightings with quiet and clean
kayaks. Since John explored Khao Sok's "Natural History by Sea Kayak" in
1989, Thailand's nature travelers in kayaks have the option of actual
wildlife sightings in this high mountain national park.
No other Khao Sok itinerary includes full meal plan, snacks, transfers,
camping, full guide service - - - and paddling every day. Silent and
environmental kayaks allow you excellent sightings of birds, monkeys,
mammals and more than 10 species of snakes. Our lead guides are famous for
their in-depth natural history knowledge and guide skills.
For Khao Sok's premier Nature Experience, the minimum is 2 guests, the
maximum 10.
DAY ONE

Phuket, Krabi hotels or airport pick-up. Transfer to Khao
Sok National Park. |

Arrive at Our Jungle House near the river, check-in and
free time for swim before lunch. |

Lunch at Our Jungle House |

SeaCanoe put in to stream from Jungle House for four hours
of easy paddling. |

Transfer back to Our Jungle House |

Dinner and campfire stories until you drop. |
DAY TWO

Arrive at the jetty and
board our traditional cabined fast longtail boat with kayak and Nature
Game briefing underway. |

Transfer to Ratchapapa
Dam - stop at a colorful local market for a cultural visit |

Arrive at Dam for fast-longtail
boat trip across the lake to a remote jungle campsite. |

Make camp and take a late wildlife trek by canoe or
trekking. Excellent wildlife sightings. |

Thai culture jungle banquet. Everybody joins in meal
preparations in the spirit of the outdoors and Thailand's friendly
culture. |

Thai-style jungle dinner and campfire stories until the
tigers eat you. |
DAY THREE

Camp breakfast -
pancakes, fruits, traditional Thai filtered coffee, breads, jams and
butter. |

Fast longtail journey
about 20 minutes to kayak paddling three hours up a spectacular jungle
canal. |

Take out by Fast longtail and depart for lunch at Floating
Restaurant. |

back to Ratchapapa Dam |
